Four former Richmond County Sheriff’s deputy jailers fired in December on suspicions of smuggling in contraband for inmates have been indicted.
The most serious and most numerous charges were filed against JaQuan T. German, 24. Tuesday, March 8, the Richmond County grand jury named German and three inmates, who are also suspected gang members, in a 16-count indictment that accuses them of conspiracy, violation of the state’s Street Gang Terrorism Prevention Act and bribery.
