Four men and a woman have been indicted on charges of murder and nearly two dozen other charges in a Jan. 8 drive-by shooting that left 8-year-old Arbrie Anthony dead.

The Richmond County grand jury returned an indictment Tuesday, April 12, against Antoine R. Redfield, 22, who was previously identified as a suspect in the child’s death, and four others.

Also named in the indictment are Henri R. Beach, 20, Kendariss L. Brown, 31, and Antionous W. Thomas, 20, and Destiny Rich, age unavailable. Of the people indicted, Brown and Rich are not in the Richmond County jail as of Wednesday afternoon. Redfield has been held on a murder charge, and Beach and Thomas have been held on other charges.

Redfield, Beach and a third man, not named in the murder indictment, were arrested in Grovetown two days after Arbrie was fatally shot. Officers allegedly found drugs, money and a rifle in their vehicle.

The evening of Jan. 8, Arbrie and other children in the Dogwood Terrace public housing complex were drawn outside to see horses that good Samaritans had brought to the apartments so the children could see the large animals up close and pet them.

From a vehicle’s windows, at least one person fired multiple gunshots at the group gathered on Third Avenue. Arbrie was killed by a bullet to her head. A horse that had also been wounded later died.

The men named in Tuesday’s indictment face 21 criminal counts that include murder, three counts of cruelty to children, six counts of aggravated assault, one count of aggravated cruelty to animals, and several counts each of weapon violations and violation of the Street Gang Terrorism Prevention Act. Redfield, Beach and Thomas face additional charges for allegedly possessing firearms illegally.

Rich is only charged in 14 counts of the indictment.

Redfield and Beach have been described by law enforcement as members of the gang Loyalty Over Everything. In court hearings, sheriff investigators have said there is a feud between LOE and the Bolt Alley Boyz.

Bolt Alley is a border street of Dogwood Terrace.
