Photojournalism: Georgia Cancer Center hosts walk to celebrate survivors

Date: May 14, 2023

Cancer survivors and their supporters walked through the Augusta University Health Sciences Campus Saturday, May 13 in an event sponsored by Unite in the Fight Against Cancer.

This is the fifth year of the event, which started in 2018. The 1.5 mile walk was created to focus attention on those who have survived the 28 different cancers the Georgia Cancer Center treats.

Dozens of survivors and supporters took part in the walk.
