Gerald Jones Ford to Distribute Free Face Masks Thursday

Date: February 17, 2021

Gerald Jones Ford will host a free mask distribution drive tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Gerald Jones Ford sent out a press release announcing its participation in Ford’s Mask Distribution Day, with the goal of passing out thousand of masks to its community members.

The car dealer will be providing packs containing 20 masks each, while their supplies last. Ford is acting on a partnership forged with United Auto Workers and Ford Motor Company Fund to donate 100 million U.S.-made, medical-grade face masks to at-risk communities across the country. The car company acquired an additional 20 million masks, bringing the total across all parties to 120 million, with the hopes of distributing all by mid-2021.

The mask distribution initiative began in September 2020, following the company’s completion of its 50,000th ventilator to aid in the treatment and care of persons affected by COVID-19.

The dealership is located at 3480 Wrightsboro Rd., Augusta, Ga. 30909.
