A Graniteville teen was tragically killed on Christmas Eve after wrecking on Connector Road, authorities said.

Aiden C. Judy, 18, was driving his 2007 Kia Spectra north on Connector Road in Graniteville around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when he struck a culvert and overturned. He was unrestrained and was ejected from the vehicle, dying on the scene, according to Eric Ramey, Chief Deputy Coroner.

“Mr. Judy was pronounced deceased on scene at 9:18 pm from injuries sustained in the collision,” Ramey said in a press release. “Toxicology analysis is pending.”

The Aiken County Coroner’s Office and the S.C. Highway Patrol are continuing with the investigation.

According to Aiden’s family, he was expected to graduate high school next year.
