Baseball is back in the CSRA, and the Augusta GreenJackets are gearing up for an action-packed Opening Weekend at SRP Park starting Friday, April 4.
The GreenJackets, the Single-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, will kick off the season with a three-game series against the Columbia Fireflies, the Kansas City Royals’ affiliate, according to a press release from the Augusta GreenJackets.
“This is the second straight year we get to begin our season here in the CSRA, and we can’t wait for fans to join us,” said GreenJackets General Manager Brandon Greene.
Opening night on Friday promises plenty of fanfare. The first 2,000 fans will receive a GreenJackets golf towel courtesy of SRP Federal Credit Union.
Meanwhile, a pre-game concert will entertain early arrivals from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and fans can enjoy half-priced Durty Gurl RTD cocktails at the Kegstand from 6 to 8 p.m.
The new Catch the Buzz cocktail will also debut at the Durty Gurl Vodka Bar, according to a press release from the Augusta GreenJackets.
Saturday’s festivities will include a 2025 magnet schedule giveaway for the first 2,000 fans, thanks to A&D Carpets.
Meanwhile, the White Claw Pre-Game Concert Series will continue with a live performance (artist TBA), plus $2 off White Claws throughout the park.
Fans can also meet their favorite players and get autographs during State Farm Family Saturday. A postgame fireworks show presented by Lifelink Foundation & Donate Life Georgia, and shot off by Joe Dirt Fireworks, will cap off the evening.
Following Saturday’s festivities, Sunday’s series finale will feature a full-team meet and greet before the game and a 2025 Team Photo giveaway for the first 1,000 fans.
The game will also mark the debut of the team’s new green alternate jerseys. Additional family fun will include Pre-Game Catch on the field (from 4–4:30 p.m.) and post-game “Kids Run the Bases” for fans 12 and under.
This will feature the first Jr. Jackets Kids Club game of the season.
Game times are 7:05 p.m. Friday (gates open at 5:30 p.m.), 6:05 p.m. Saturday (gates open at 4:30 p.m.), and 5:05 p.m. Sunday (gates open at 4 p.m.).
