Date: October 15, 2025

A Grovetown motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night in a crash with a Jeep along Jimmy Dyess Parkway, according to Columbia County authorities.

Deputies said 29-year-old Tyler Ray Dunham, of Longmeadow Drive, was riding north when a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee attempted to turn left onto the I-20 East ramp. The Jeep, driven by 75-year-old Roger Dewy Brown of Martinez, turned into Dunham’s path, causing a collision.

Dunham was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries.

Brown and his passenger, 71-year-old Shirley Dorn Brown, also of Martinez, were taken to Doctors Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
