A road paving project will begin in the city of Grovetown on Monday, July 11.

Crews will begin the paving project with work in Reynolds Pond and on Katherine Street.

According to the City of Grovetown’s website, project areas will include Reynolds Circle, Reynolds Way and Katherine Street from East Robinson Avenue to the railroad tracks.

The paving project was supposed to begin earlier but was delayed due to crews working on groundwater issues.

The City of Grovetown Public Works Department will be conducting these road paving projects between the hours of 7 a.m. until finished each day. The project is expected to take around a week or a week and a half.

According to an email from Grovetown Public Information Officer Jordan Johnson, DOT-certified traffic controllers will be on scene to help with the flow of traffic and to mitigate any traffic problems that may arise in the area. No detours are expected at this time.

Travel, trash pickup and waste pickup issues are expected within the area.
