The Grovetown Planning Commission approved final plats during its Thursday, April 20 meeting.

Director of Planning and Community Development Ronnie Kurtz said both of the items are final plats that the commission had seen earlier.

“Both of them are just realigning lot lines along these properties with no development planned behind that, so everything should be pretty straight forward,” Kurtz said.

The first plat is located at 111 Howell St., and the applicant is going to subdivide one lot into two lots. The applicant and property owner is CAW Partners, LLC.

“It is zoned CC-6 neighborhood residential,” Kurtz said. “It is approximately 4.61 acres, and it’s current form it has one mobile home with approximately 93.82 feet of road frontage along Howell Street. This property is also surrounded by similarly zoned properties all at CC-6 that also have their own single-family homes on them.”

Kurtz said the applicant indicated there are no plans to develop the newly created lot.

The second plat is 329 and 337 Whiskey Road, and the applicants are Victor and Michelle Byrd on behalf of Gladys Gould, the property owner, said Kurtz. Both are zoned R-1 (residential), with 329 Whiskey Road being approximately 2.55 acres and 337 Whiskey Road being approximately 6.91 acres.

Kurtz said the applicant is planning to subdivide the two lots into three lots. Tract A will be 2.81 acres with 166.55 feet of road frontage on Whiskey Road and will have the existing manufactured home. Tract B will be approximately 0.529 acres with 154.64 feet of road frontage on Whiskey Road and an existing manufactured home will be on this lot. Tract C will be approximately 5.96 acres and will have 100.09 feet of road frontage.

Commissioners unanimously approved both final plats.
