Columbia County fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire Friday that heavily damaged a residence on Brookwood Drive.

The fire on Friday afternoon in Brookwood Townhomes brought a large amount of firefighters and sheriff’s deputies, blocking off streets and redirecting traffic in the neighborhood. No injuries were reported.
