The health inspection world grades a score below 70 as failing, however, no restaurants inspected were rewarded with a failing score from Sept. 2-6.
Worst scores in this week’s health inspection
This week’s lowest health inspection score was a 79 earned by the pool at Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton Augusta, located at 3028 Washington Road.
The inspector noted that the pool’s pH levels did not meet regulation, and resulted in a 15 point reduction.
Prior to deducting five more points for also neglecting to keep records of the pool’s pH levels, the health inspector reported the pool’s shower had a leak, which needed repairs.
Following the Hampton pool inspection, the second lowest score of the week was a tie between the Super 8 Pool and the DoubleTree Hotel of Augusta’s outdoor and indoor pools.
Inspector’s comments on the DoubleTree’s pool evaluation highlighted an improper pH level that is unsafe for swimmers, and failure to keep a detailed record of the pool’s day-to-day chemical levels.
According to the report, the DoubleTree Hotel also did not frequently test the pool’s water, which led to them being deducted another 5 points.
