Hephzibah man dies from injuries in earlier shooting

A Hephzibah-area man died Thursday from injuries suffered in a shooting last month on James Drive.

Brian Christopher Miller, 27, was shot Aug. 19 on the 4200 block of James Drive, Coroner Mark Bowen said. He was rushed to Wellstar MCG Health. He died this week, and an autopsy has been scheduled.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has not issued a press release on the initial shooting or death. A suspect or motive was also not released.
