The CSRA was well represented on the 2023 Georgia Athletic Coaches Association (GACA) All-State team that was released Thursday.

In all, 22 players and one coach were selected to all-state teams with rosters that included players from Georgia High School Association (GHSA) schools, as well as private school associations such as Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA/GIAA).

Edmond Burke Academy head coach Andy Woodard was selected as GISA/GIAA coach of the year after leading his team to a state championship.

Thomson saw six players placed on the Class AA all-state roster. That number was the most from one area school. Aquinas came in second with five placements on the Class A roster. Laney had three selections in Class AA as well.
