Rankings and matchups.

That’s what you’re bringing you here. Three teams that are in our top-10 rankings are out of action this week, and the game of the week — at least for our purposes — will be Aquinas paying a visit to Westside Friday night with the Patriots hoping to protect home field and its unblemished record.

Below the rankings, check out our comprehensive Week 6 schedule for each of our 33-team coverage area programs.

3. North Augusta (3-1, 2-1) | Next Up: at Gilbert (1-2)

4. Lincoln County (4-0) | Next Up: vs. Silver Bluff (0-4)

7. Laney (3-2) | Next Up: BYE

8. Thomson (3-2) | Next Up: BYE

9. Harlem (3-0, 1-0) | Next Up: at West Laurens (4-0, 2-0)

10. Thurmond (2-1) | Next Up: vs. Emerald (2-2)

Rankings Summary: The top-5 teams remain unchanged. All the movement happened this past week in the bottom half of the rankings. Westside enters at No. 6 after a convincing win against Hephzibah. Can’t penalize Laney too much for losing to a solid Greene County team. Thomson looked like Thomson for the first time this season, and we don’t think Swainsboro is that bad. Harlem and Thurmond round out the top 10, with South Aiken knocking on the door.

Others considered: South Aiken, Greenbrier, Warren County, Fox Creek.
