Aiken County Public Schools
The Aiken County Public School District will engage in e-learning on March 5.
According to a district statement, the forecasted wind speed exceeds the threshold allowed for school buses to be on roadways.
Employees should plan to report to their work location on a two-hour delayed start, with no building or office opening before 10 a.m.
After school extracurricular practices, games, and events will continue tomorrow as scheduled. There will be no QuestZone tomorrow.
Richmond County School System
The Richmond County School System will hold a PowerUp Asynchronous Learning Day on March 5, All extracurricular activities are canceled.
Students will complete assignments from home using Canvas or SeeSaw, with teachers available to communicate through Remind or Class Dojo. All assignments must be submitted by midnight on Monday, March 10.
The district anticipates resuming normal operations on Thursday, March 6, but will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates as needed.
Edgefield County School District
The Edgefield County School District will have an e-Learning Day for students on March 5.
District staff and school faculty and staff members will operate on a two-hour delay and there will be no after school activities.
Columbia County Schools District
The Columbia County School District has not yet provided an update on how the expected high winds will impact learning on March 5.
