Hollis L. Bush Jr., is the new senior director of programs and services at ForcesUnited, a local organization that serves veterans and their families.
Bush is a retired lieutenant colonel with nearly 28 years in the Army military police in the Army Military Police Corps. Hollis, a Baltimore, Md., native, commanded at the battalion level and served on the Headquarters Department of the Army Staff at the Pentagon. He served four combat tours and two peacekeeping operations.
ForcesUnited began as the Augusta Warrior Project in 2007 but changed names in a 2019 rebranding campaign.

Bush has been with ForcesUnited since retiring from the military in 2014. He previously served as the director of transition and reintegration.
During his service in the Army, Bush earned the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (two Oak Leaf Clusters), Meritorious Service Medal (6 Oak Leaf Clusters), Air Assault Badge, Master Parachutist Badge and Ranger Tab.
Bush is president of the Retired Military Police Association with chapters in Fayetteville, N.C., Columbia and Augusta and also president of the Masters City Golf Association.
Bush is married with four children and two granddaughters.
