Homicide victim found at Dollar General early Saturday morning

The body of a deceased person was found in the Dollar General parking lot on the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd early Saturday morning.

According to the Augusta Coroner’s Office, the victim, identified as Elias Jkhael Delk, 28 of Augusta, was found in the parking lot and appeared to have died from multiple blunt force trauma. The body was found at 5:45 a.m.

An autopsy is scheduled.

Just hours before the body of a homeless man was found in a wooded area near the I-520 ramp and Windsor Spring Road. The man was pronounced dead at 5:45 p.m. Friday afternoon. Authorities are still trying to identify the individual.
