Hooters in Augusta permanently closed

Hooters Restaurant, Washington Road, Augusta

Date: July 25, 2025

The Hooters in Augusta has permanently closed as of Thursday, July 24.

The closure comes after the company previously filed for bankruptcy and closed multiple locations last month.

The restaurant was popular during the Masters Tournament due to its close proximity to the Augusta National Golf Course. Golfer John Daley could often be found there during the week.

No announcement has been made, but a call to the restaurant results in a prerecorded voicemail stating the location is permanently closed.

Hooters isn’t the only restaurant in the Washington Square shopping area with The Juicy Crab closing on June 29.

No other information is available at this time o the closure.
