How to do New Year’s Eve in Augusta: from dancing and drinks to family fun

As the year comes to a close, the CSRA is gearing up for a variety of New Year’s Eve events that cater to all age ranges and tastes.

As the year comes to a close, the CSRA is gearing up for a variety of New Year’s Eve events that cater to all age ranges and tastes.

Augusta 

Kick off the new year on New Year’s Eve with a game of bowling and breakfast at midnight at the Five Star Lanes masquerade party. Cost is $55 for adults (14 and older), $30 per child (13 and younger) and $30 per non-bowler. This event will be on Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Reservations are requested and can be made by calling +1 706-791-3446.

Skateland of Augusta is also joining in on the fun with a New Year’s Eve balloon drop and skate event. The $20 cost includes house rental skates. Prizes will be found in the balloons, including cash and free passes. This event lasts from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. For ages 12 and under, an afternoon balloon drop will also be held at 3 p.m. with a $7 entry fee. 

Joe’s Underground, a downtown dive bar at 144 8th St., is celebrating New Year’s Eve with drinks, dancing and music by DJ DËZZY. This event is for ages 21 and older and the cost is $10 per person at the door. This event will be on Tuesday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. 

The Partridge Inn is joining in on the celebratory fun with an event that includes drinks, dancing, a champagne toast and 365 photobooth. General admission tickets are $125 and VIP Packages for groups of four are $600. This event begins on Tuesday at 9 p.m. Cocktail to formal attire is required. Aiken 

The Aiken County Public Library is celebrating a “Noon Year’s Eve Party” with fun activities, snacks, and dancing! This event is for ages 1 and older. Registration is required and can be done by calling 803-642 – 2020 ext. 2. This event will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. 

Enjoy dinner at the Willcox on New Years followed by an extended bites menu and a night of live music from pianist John Vaughn and jazz quartet 4 Cats in the Doghouse. Make reservations for dinner by calling 803-679-5050 or drop in anytime during the event to enjoy the festivities. This event will be on Tuesday starting at 5 p.m. until 1 a.m. 

Hephzibah

See fireworks at the Hephzibah Agriculture Center at 4383 Wilson Road on Dec. 31, along with food trucks, vendors, inflatables and games. Admission is free. Gates open at 5 p.m. and fireworks start at 9 p.m. The event ends at 10 p.m.
