Human remains found on Quarry Road in Augusta

An investigation is underway after human remains were found Friday off Quarry Road in Augusta.

Around 10:45 a.m. Friday, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 4000 block of Quarry Road in reference to found human remains.

“The investigation is in its early stages and there is no further information available,” sheriff’s Sgt. John Perry said in a press release.
