Hurricane threat alters high school football schedules

Hurricane Ian has already made its impact in the Augusta area as several high school football games have been rescheduled for earlier or later dates. Please see the list below of games. Updates will occur as more information becomes available. Each game below is still subject to change due to possible weather impact:

Cross Creek (1-4) at Harlem (4-1) moved to Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Silver Bluff (1-4) at Fox Creek (1-4) moved to Thursday at 7 p.m.

Aquinas (4-1) at Lincoln County (3-2) moved to Friday, Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Evans (3-2) at Lakeside (2-2) moved to Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

North Augusta (1-5) at South Aiken (1-5) moved to Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Brunswick (5-0) at Grovetown (3-2) tentatively moved to Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Thomson (4-1) at Josey (2-3) moved to Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Strom Thurmond (3-2) at Batesburg-Leesville (2-3) moved to Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

Morgan County (3-2) at Academy of Richmond County (3-2) moved to Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Augusta Prep (2-3) at Thomas Jefferson Academy (5-0) moved to Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

Laney (4-0) at Washington County (1-4) moved to Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
