Summertime means an abundance of fresh produce.
Whether from the backyard garden or the roadside stand, the freshest of the fresh tomatoes, bell peppers, squash and a myriad of other veggies are ready to go from the vine to the table.
This week, vegetables are the star of The VeryVera Show as Vera Stewart offers up some of her beloved veggie recipes including the roasted tomato basil soup she used to serve every Wednesday at her café.
According to Vera, “this soup is a labor of love, but the result is completely worth the effort.”

“Eat Your Veggies” is a favorite episode from Season 7 and offers time-tested recipes from her kitchen.
Other mouth-watering food preparations include Vera’s roasted veggie lasagna and cheesy artichoke toasts. The cheesy artichoke toasts have flavors similar to artichoke dips and the roasted veggie lasagna was the “shining star” of VeryVera’s Gourmet-to-Go line of products.
