It would not be summer without our annual visit with Lori Ann Carr from Titan Farms!  We have had so much fun over the last three seasons together learning about the farm, the processing and care that goes into harvesting and shipping the peaches and most importantly the variety of recipes you can make with this delicious fruit.

We have enjoyed learning about other foods that are complemented by the introduction to an aspect of peaches. From desserts, salads, appetizers and main dishes, the sweetness of a peach truly can bring out the natural flavor in lots of foods. The best part for me about this time of year is not only enjoying peaches while they’re in season but also making sure I have plenty on hand to use the rest of the year by preserving them in a variety of ways. It’s always fun to pull a sealed bag of freshly frozen peaches out of the freezer in the dead of winter and make a cobbler.
