In the Kitchen with Vera: Vera’s take on some Masters favorites

Date: April 07, 2022

While golf is on Augusta’s mind this week, so is the food at the Augusta National.

If you’re ever lucky enough to roam the revered grounds of the Augusta National during tournament week, you will quickly learn that eating a Master’s pimento cheese sandwich is a tried and true tradition.

This week on the show, Vera will make her beloved pimento cheese recipe to bring a taste of the Master’s to your home!

Vera’s recipe is creamy with a punch of spice. She is a brand ambassador for Tony Chachere after all. Her recipe calls for sharp cheddar cheese, Tony Chachere’s Creole seasoning and some cayenne pepper.

The VeryVera show airs at 12:30 p.m. Thursday and again at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Other recipes on this week’s menu include a hearty parmesan grits casserole and Tea Time lasagna.
