Inmate connected to summer killing of homeless man in Hephzibah

Richmond County authorities have arrested a Hephzibah man for murder in the summer slaying of a homeless man on Windsor Spring Road.

Fabian Tremaine Lee, 29, of Hephzibah, is accused of killing 41-year-old Carl Linwood Dednam Jr. on July 13. The shooting took place outside a residence at 4202 Windsor Spring Road, in the Windsor Court area of Hephzibah. The victim was shot at least once and died later at Wellstar MCH Health.

Lee has been incarcerated at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center since September 18 on unrelated charges of simple battery and terroristic threats and acts. The charge of murder has now been added.

Authorities also arrested 30-year-old Tyeisha Rhonda Manning of Hephzibah for tampering with evidence in the murder case. She was arrested Monday on James Drive.

The sheriff’s office said the case highlights the excellent work and persistence of investigators, including Investigator Tyler Steerman.

Sheriff Eugene Brantley stated in a press release: “Every life in our community matters, and justice will always remain a priority. Our investigators worked tirelessly on this case to ensure that those responsible were identified and held accountable. I commend Investigator Steerman and our entire team for their dedication and professionalism.”
