Keynote speaker announced for Augusta Technical College commencement

Augusta Technical College has recently announced the 2024 commencement ceremony keynote speaker will be Dr. Raphael Bostic. 

Bostic is the current 15th president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. His role includes responsibility over the bank’s activities, such as monetary policy, bank supervision and regulation, and payment services. Bostic has served in his role since 2017.

Before working at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Bostic was the Judith and John Bedrosian Chair in Governance and the Public Enterprise at the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California (USC). He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his doctorate from Stanford University. 

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the sixth federal reserve district, including Alabama, Florida, and Georgia with parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. There are branches of the bank in Birmingham, Jacksonville, Miami, Nashville, and New Orleans. 

The commencement ceremony for Augusta Technical College will be on Friday, May 31 at 6:00 p.m., and it will be held at the James Brown Arena.
