Lack of hair nets discovered in this week’s health inspection

The health inspection world grades a score below 70 as failing. No businesses received a failing score from Feb. 5-9, and only one business received a score lower than 90. 

Jason’s Deli, 2907 Washington Road Bldg. 500, Augusta received the lowest score this week of 87. Comments from the report included “observed employee reach across PTC with pants hanging below waist and underwear showing” and “observed several employees without hair nets.”

Other comments included: “observed expired ‘antipasta relish’ dated 1/5/24 in WIC,” “observed frozen packets of soup thawing improperly in sink,” “observed food stored on floor in WIC,” “observed old inspection posted,” “observed wet nesting of stacked dishes,” and “observed debris across dining room underneath tables.”

These are the restaurants and tourist attractions in Richmond and Columbia counties that passed recent inspections between Feb. 5 and Feb. 9 with scores of 100. There were no health violations for these places.
