A Lakeside High School student is facing charges after a physical altercation on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
According to an email sent out to parents, the fight between occurred in the common area before school started. One student had a nose injury and was treated by the nurse.

The statement said one student has been criminally charged and will be held accountable according to the code of conduct.
“Safety of students and sta is a top priority and inappropriate physical contact of any nature will not be tolerated. Suspicious behavior should be reported to a teacher, school administrator or the Columbia County School District Police Department. Working together we can continue to provide a safe, positive environment for students and staff,” the email said.
This is the second incident this week involving students getting into a physical altercation. On Tuesday, two Evans High School students were also involved in a fight and now face charges.
