Motorists will encounter lane closures on Gordon Highway starting Thursday, June 10, according to an announcement from the Georgia Department of Transportation.
One inside lane in each direction will be closed between Walton Way and Peach Orchard Road.
Crews will build a concrete median barrier to replace the current guardrail.

Motorists should watch for digital message boards alerting them to the changes. Overhead signs and traffic signals will be moved to align with the new traffic pattern.
It will take six-to-eight months to complete the project.
