Contractors with E.R. Snell will continue work on the Lewiston Road widening project next week, with temporary lane closures and traffic shifts expected in the area.

Weather permitting, construction will take place from Friday, Oct. 17, through Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, according to a press release from Columbia County.

Crews will close lanes intermittently on Lewiston Road at Mill Creek Lane and on Columbia Road, about 500 feet east of its intersection with Lewiston Road. The closures are scheduled daily from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Motorists are advised to expect delays, use caution, and reduce speed while traveling through the work zones, according to a press release from Columbia County.

Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes or allow extra time for commuting during this period.
