Lanes and roads close next week in Columbia County due to road work

Faircloth Drive and Government Center Way will be closed from Monday, May 6 to Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is due to pavement resurfacing activities.

There will be upcoming lane and road closures in Columbia County.

Faircloth Drive and Government Center Way will be closed from Monday, May 6 to Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is due to pavement resurfacing activities.

The parking stalls on Faircloth Drive will be unavailable during this time. Parking for the Columbia County Government Complex Campus will be in alternate parking facilities around the campus.

South Old Belair Road will be closed from Wednesday, May 8 to Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is due to resurfacing activities.

There will be a temporary road closure on Oakley Pirkle Road from Tuesday, May 7 to Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. due to resurfacing.

There will be a lane closure between North Belair Road and Hardy McManus Road from Wednesday, May 8 to Friday, May 17 from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Drivers should expect delays and seek an alternative route if possible.e This lane closure is part of the road widening project for Furys Ferry Road.  

Drivers should use caution and reduce their speed when driving through work zones. They should plan for additional time to their commute or plan for an alternate route.
