Laziza Mediterranean Grill is opening a new location in Aiken, the local restaurant announced.

While an opening date has not been set, owner Nader Khatib has confirmed a fourth branch of the restaurant is in development at the shopping center anchored by Lowes Foods on Whiskey Road.

The announcement comes just over a year after Laziza opened its catering branch in downtown Augusta on Reynolds Street, and nearly a year since North Carolina-based Lowes opened its first CSRA supermarket.

“This expansion builds upon the success of our Evans and downtown Augusta locations and reflects our commitment to bringing fresh, flavorful Mediterranean cuisine to more communities across the region,” said Khatib.

Laziza opened its first location, 4272 Washington Road in Evans, in 2011, and its second, 901 Broad St. in Augusta, in the fall of 2020. Employee Eli Andraws, with Khatib’s blessing, launched a food truck of Laziza Grill last summer, premiering it at Savannah River Brewing Co.
