Dear Editor,

For the past month I’ve taken 5th street enroute to work. And for the past month I’ve noticed a gaping hole in the street that undoubtedly presents a great threat to any motorist unaware that damaged infrastructure exists and danger is looming. I’m calling on the city to place warning barriers around the gigantic opening that, if not cured, will end up not only causing someone’s vehicle a total loss, but place the occupants at grave risk. I’m not sure which city department is responsible for submitting the work orders but to them I say please fix the issue before it becomes a problem the city cannot erase.
