Dear Editor
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
How many times do Americans need to be duped by slick politicians before they start analyzing what each candidate stands for?
We have a stark contrast between the two presidential candidates. Former President Donald J. Trump has an extensive list of accomplishments from his first term. He defeated ISIS. He achieved energy independence. He stopped the invasion of our southern border.
I want people to think back to before he assumed the presidency. America suffered horrendous foreign policy defeats under the Obama Administration. Their efforts to remove Libya’s leader resulted in four Americans killed by Islamic terrorists, including US Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, and Glen Doherty. It gave birth to the ISIS movement that swept through Syria and Iraq. We witnessed graphic images of ISIS’ public beheading of Christians while ISIS swiftly took control of population centers.
President Trump promised to defeat ISIS on his campaign trail. Within three months of becoming president, his strong leadership enabled the U.S. military to completely defeat ISIS by eliminating the idiotic rules of engagement that hampered America’s ability to defeat them.
President Trump promised to build a border wall and stop the invasion by illegal aliens. Democrats put up obstacles by suing the Trump Administration every time President Trump attempted to build the wall. After defeating several Democrat lawsuits, President Trump started building the border wall. President Trump also held the Mexican government responsible for illegal border crossings and implemented a “Stay in Mexico” policy. It worked.
Unfortunately, the Biden Administration reversed President Trump’s “Stay in Mexico” policy on Day One. The Democrat administration put out a welcome mat for people entering the U.S.A. illegally. The Democrat party controlled sanctuary cities and states and took over schools and other government facilities, homeless shelters, and eventually hotels to accommodate illegal aliens.
All presidential candidates have been campaigning for America’s energy independence since Jimmy Carter in 1976. Only President Trump achieved a true energy independence in the USA. We enjoyed low gas prices, an average of $1.89 a gallon. How much are you paying for a gallon of gas today? What are your home utility bills today compared to when President Trump was in the White House?
What did the Biden/Harris administration do when they assumed power? They canceled the XL Pipeline and drastically curtailed licenses for fracking and drilling, which spiked energy prices. Within two years, Biden/Harris reversed our energy independence and began begging OPEC to drill for more oil.
Wake up America. We need a strong leader who has vision for Making America Great Again. The only person who has the strength and determination is Donald J. Trump.
The election day is Nov. 5, but advance voting starts on Oct. 15. Please vote like your future depends on it because it does.
