At Parker’s Kitchen, we deeply value the communities we serve and appreciate the passion and perspectives shared in the recentAugusta Press editorial regarding our proposed Columbia County location. We seek to understand the concerns of local residents and take those concerns very seriously.

Our presence in the CSRA is raising the bar for convenience service and quality in the area, offering fresh Southern-inspired food, clean facilities and exceptional customer service to Columbia County residents while creating a new standard of excellence in architecture and landscaping. We also give back to the communities where we operate stores and have donated more than $30 million over the past eight years to important causes that matter most to our customers, from supporting local schools to providing meals for hungry children.

When we select new sites and build new stores, our goal is always to serve the existing traffic flow, not to increase it. We engineer our sites to take advantage of the existing traffic flow and offer carefully planned points of access and egress that are strategically designed to enhance existing traffic patterns and to avoid creating additional traffic issues. Our stores are designed as convenient stops for those who are already on the road.

The Washington and Bobby Jones site is located along a key commuter corridor in Columbia County. We will not create gridlock at this site and will, in fact, enhance the flow of traffic along this busy corridor. Our investment in the redevelopment of this vacant property will significantly enhance the aesthetic quality of the streetscape as our plans call for the demolition of the abandoned Walgreens building, construction of a new high-end brick building with custom finishes and the addition of more robust landscape buffers as well as decorative fencing.

As an award-winning company founded in the Southeast and proudly serving the CSRA, we approach every expansion with careful planning and thoughtful consideration. Our team conducted extensive market analyses and traffic assessments before selecting our locations in Columbia County. At Parker’s Kitchen, we are deeply committed to working with Columbia County community leaders and residents to design, build and staff locations we can all be proud of.

We’re here to be part of the solution and are honored to be part of the CSRA community.

Sincerely,

Brandon Hofmann, CEO
