Our energy prices have skyrocketed nationwide due to Obama and Biden policies to shut down reliable coal plants and limit expansion of reliable natural gas and nuclear power plants. Instead, they forced the implementation of inefficient green energy such as solar and wind that is heavily subsidized by taxpayers.
Under the current PSC, Georgia is the only state to significantly improve its power infrastructure in over the last 30 years. Adding two additional reactors to Vogtle Electric Generating Plant guarantees plentiful energy for Georgians while keeping our electricity rates below the national average. PSC Tim Echols and Fitz Johnson recently voted to freeze electricity rates for 3 years, the only state in the USA to do so.
