A new mural celebrating the service and sacrifice of African-American soldiers during the Golden Blocks Era will be unveiled to the public Thursday.

J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic literary fantasy work “The Lord of the Rings” is getting an elaborate tribute from Augusta’s arts community.
Donations will be collected throughout the month of July and then distributed to local students in need.
The Fourth of July kicked off early in Harlem with the second Freedom Run.
