The Evans Towne Center Park will shine bright as the community gathers for Light the Night, an event dedicated to celebrating, honoring, and remembering those touched by blood cancer.

Hosted by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), the event brings together survivors, families, companies, and community partners to support lifesaving research and patient services while illuminating hope through lanterns that light the evening sky.

A mission of hope

Light the Night is part of LLS’s nationwide effort to end blood cancer and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

Funds raised through the walk support cutting-edge research, free information and support services.

By 2040, LLS hopes to enable people with blood cancer to gain more than one million years of life. This means more birthdays, graduations, and cherished moments with loved ones.

Lighting the night in Evans

Each lantern raised — red for supporters, white for survivors, symbolizes strength, unity, and hope. Throughout the evening, the park will glow with light and emotion as families, friends, and survivors walk side by side.

Beyond that, Light the Night serves as a reminder that every donation, story, and step taken brings the world closer to ending blood cancer. Ultimately, the event shines not just as a fundraiser, but as a celebration of courage and community.
