A local boutique is giving some shoplifters a chance to redeem themselves.
On Dec. 17, the Swank Company posted on its Facebook page that some items had been stolen from its location at Riverwood in Evans.
The post indicated that the thefts occurred about 12:30 p.m. Dec. 16 and requested that anyone with any information regarding the stolen items to please contact the Swank Company.

The post also offered those responsible for the stolen items an opportunity to return them “with no repercussions.”
“If this does not happen by the end of the week, we will release this group’s photo to the authorities,” read the post, followed by an offering of a reward to anyone who can bring information about the group which stole the items.
“I guess I want to give everyone a chance to come forward and get it out of a dumb decision,” said owner Rafy Bassali.
The store is equipped with security cameras, which aided in discovering the thefts. Bassali says that employees also saw the individuals taking the items.
The items have not yet been returned, nor has a police report been filed, as of the writing of this article.
The Swank Company, a boutique specializing in primarily women’s fashion and gifts, has three other locations: at the Publix Supermarket shopping center on Furys Ferry in Martinez, at Surrey Center in Augusta and in SRP Park in North Augusta.
