Local Contractor Wins $8.1 Million Bids for Columbia County School Projects

The Columbia County Board of Education voted Feb. 23 to accept local contractor RCN Contracting Inc.’s bid of more than $8.1 million for renovations at two of its schools.

RCN bid $1.9 million for a construction project at Greenbrier Middle that includes the addition of 12 classrooms and lights throughout the entire facility.

The BOE accepted a second bid of approximately $6.3 million for a project that includes 22 classroom additions and site improvements at Harlem High School.
