On May 13 and 14 at the Augusta Regional Airport, the Augusta Air Show will feature the U.S. Air Force’s Thunderbirds, a C-17 Globemaster III Demo, a Red Bull helicopter, the Red Bull Air Force, civilian aerobatics and the F-16 Viper Demo Team.

Among the U.S. military fighter jet community, the F-16 is attributed as a top of the line aircraft for its sleekness, speed and high maneuverability.

Capt. Aimee “Rebel” Fiedler is the pilot and commander of the U.S. Air Force F-16 Viper Demo Team, which calls the Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina home.

“The F-16 Viper Demo Team will show off the full capabilities of the jet including high speed maneuvers at over 600 mph and G wrenching turns where Fiedler will feel over nine times the weight of her own body,” according to a press release from the Augusta Regional Airport. “The demo routine will include inverted spins and a three mile climb straight up that will take less than 10 seconds.”

Event gates will open at 9:30 a.m., and tickets are currently 35% off for general admission or save $30 on preferred seating.

Until Monday, April 24, show tickets will be on sale and available for purchase at https://augustaairshow.com/purchase-tickets/

Starting on Friday, April 21, tickets are on sale for a sing along concert for Walt Disney’s Encanto taking place at the Columbia County Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Nov. 4.

This event will highlight the entire feature-length film and an on-stage band celebrating all the record-breaking, hit songs from the widely beloved soundtrack.
