12 CSRA high school football teams are heading to the postseason.

Date: November 04, 2025

The Central Savannah River Area is well represented in the 2025 Georgia High School Association and South Carolina High School League football playoffs. Here’s a look at which CSRA teams made the field, their records, and who they’ll face in Round 1. The GHSA playoffs being Nov. 14 and the SCHSL playoffs begin Nov. 7.

Lincoln County Red Devils (Class A Division II, Region 8 — Team 1)

Record: 10-0 overall, 4-0 in region play
First-round matchup: Randolph-Clay Red Devils

Lincoln County enters the postseason undefeated and as the top seed in Region 8. The Red Devils’ perfect regular season has them positioned as one of the favorites in Class A Division II, and they’ll open the playoffs against Randolph-Clay.

Harlem Bulldogs (Class AAA — Team 17)

Record: 8-2 overall, 6-2 in region play
First-round matchup: Heritage Generals

Harlem capped off another strong year in Class AAA. The Bulldogs will take on Heritage-Ringgold in the opening round after a regular season that featured strong offensive performances and key region wins.

Richmond Academy Musketeers (Class AAA — Team 26)

Record: 5-5 overall, 5-3 in region play
First-round matchup: Stephenson Jaguars

Richmond Academy secured its playoff berth in Class AAA and will travel to play Stephenson in Round 1. Despite a .500 record, the Musketeers have been super competitive all year and have given even some of the area’s best teams some trouble.

Westside Patriots (Augusta) (Class AAA — Team 10)

Record: 9-1 overall, 7-1 in region play
First-round matchup: Long County Blue Tide

The Patriots are coming off their second 8+ win season in a row, and it’s not a fluke. This team is good. They’ll face Long County in the opening round with a strong chance to make some noise in the playoffs.

Thomson Warriors (Class AA — Team 6)

Record: 7-3 overall, 5-0 in region play
First-round matchup: Jackson Red Devils

It looked as if Thomson was down for the count after losing to North Augusta and Grovetown earlier in the year. However, the Bulldogs have been rolling in the back half of the season. Do not be surprised if Thomson secures a couple of playoff wins this postseason.

Burke County Bears (Class AA — Team 10)

Record: 8-2 overall, 4-1 in region play
First-round matchup: Sonoraville Phoenix

Burke County returns to the postseason after another impressive campaign. The Bears’ physical brand of football earned them an 8-2 record and the No. 10 seed in Class AA, setting them up for another potential deep run.

Laney Wildcats (Augusta) (Class AA — Team 18)

Record: 7-3 overall, 3-2 in region play
First-round matchup: Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors

Laney has definitely earned respect in the area over the last couple of seasons. Laney finished 7-3 overall and claimed a postseason spot as the No. 18 seed in Class AA. The Wildcats will have anything but an easy game in round 1 vs Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe.

Aquinas Fightin’ Irish (Augusta) (Private School Bracket — Team 12)

Record: 6-4 overall, 4-4 in region play
First-round matchup: Darlington Tigers

Aquinas finds themselves in the playoffs again, surprisingly absolutely no one. You have to go back to 2010 to find the last time Aquinas was not in the playoffs. Aquinas will face Darlington in the first round and will look to build on a winning season that featured several close battles down the stretch.

South Carolina teams

Four Aiken County teams have made it to the 2025 South Carolina High School Football League playoffs. The first round of games will be Friday, Nov. 7.

North Augusta Yellow Jackets

Record: 9-1 Overall, 6-1 in region play

First-round matchup: Midland Valley Mustangs

North Augusta has a legit shot to win it all this year. The Yellow Jackets are averaging 45.4 points per game on the year. As long as the defense holds up, it is hard to see them losing anytime early in the playoffs. They will rematch against Midland Valley where they won 42-29 just a few days ago on Halloween night.

Midland Valley Mustangs

Record: 7-3 overall, 4-3 in region play

First round matchup: North Augusta Yellow Jackets

Midland Valley is looking to repeat its dream season from 2023 with another deep run in the playoffs. However, they will have top find a way to get through North Augusta who just beat them a few days ago 42-29.

Wagener-Salley War Eagles

Record: 4-6, 2-3 in region play

First round matchup: Dixie Hornets

Wagener-Salley will have to find some sort of offense to have a chance in round 1. With the War Eagles only averaging 13.3 points per game on the season, the defense will be crucial in this playoff game.

South Aiken Thoroughbreds

Record: 5-5, 3-4 in region play

First round matchup: Hilton Head Island Seahawks

The good news is, South Aiken has found themselves in the playoffs. The bad news is that they will be playing Hilton Head Island High School in round 1. Hilton Head is 9-1 and currently ranked 31st in the state of South Carolina according to MaxPreps. Does South Aiken have a miracle in them?
