Local real estate broker missing after boating incident

A local realtor has gone missing after a boating incident off the Georgia coast, the Realtors of Greater Augusta (RGA) announced, Thursday.

Roman Waldera is a real estate broker licensed in Georgia and South Carolina, and the proprietor of the Roman Realty brokerage in Augusta. Waldera had recently gone on a fishing trip with a close friend, a frequent excursion for Waldera. The U.S. Coast Guard is currently conducting an active search for Waldera his vessel was found offshore unmanned, the RGA reported in an email to members.

The family of Waldera have since been notified and, along with the RGA — of which Waldera was a longtime member—and the brokerage have asked for thoughts and prayers.
