Toys for Tots, the Marine Corps charity that provides toys to underprivileged children at Christmastime, has begun garnering partners among local businesses to help spread joy during what may be a somewhat economically precarious holiday season.

Ziggi’s Coffee’s latest promotion entails a benefit for the nonprofit. On Wednesday the Colorado-based café chain announced its holiday menu for this year — with infusions like Chai-Nog and a peppermint bark-flavored espresso called Candy Cane Crunch — along with the release of its Merry Menu Coupon.

Half of the proceeds of the one-dollar coupon book will go directly to Toys for Tots, with a goal of raising $15,000 this year for the charity.

The Augusta Ziggi’s, which opened summer of last year, is located at 252 Furys Ferry Road.

Further down the road is artisan chocolate shop La Bonbonniere, official drop spot for the Augusta Toys for Tots chapter since October, located at 231 Furys Ferry. So has Titan Restoration, at 472 Flowing Wells Road.

HVAC service Comfort Systems USA Southeast announced that it will be a drop-off spot until Dec. 14, Monday through Friday between 8:30 am to 3:30 p.m., a1020 Franke Industrial Dr.

Donors can bring toys to ERA Wilder Realty, 104 Warren Road, by Dec. 18. The Harlem Museum and Welcome Center will be accepting Toys for Tots donations Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The 12th annual Auggie’s Holiday BUZZar, the Augusta GreenJackets’ Christmastime event, will also have a Toys for Tots Toy Drive, in which donors can exchange unwrapped toys in exchange for a chance to win prizes. The free event will be at SRP Park on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
