Feb. 1 was National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day, and suppliers of the chilly dessert found ways to participate throughout the state of Georgia and the CSRA, including The Meadows Frozen Custard of Grovetown which was offering a cozy deal on Saturday morning; anyone who showed up to their shop in pajamas got 10% off their breakfast ice cream order.

The Meadows, located on 715 Gateway Center Blvd., was packed shortly after it opened with locals donning their best sleepwear to participate in the fun.

Shop owner Megan Vesnesky said the event kicked off last year and was so popular that they decided to bring it back for a second run.

“It’s just a fun thing to get people out of the house on a Saturday morning and create core memories,” she said. “Who ever gets to eat ice cream for breakfast?”
