Lots of fun, spooky and creative events are planned for Halloween weekend, with happenings kicking off Oct. 28.
Trunk or Treat
Augusta University’s Fraternity and Sorority Life along with many other student organizations are hosting a Trunk or Treat event from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 28. It will be located at the AU parking lot parallel to Katherine Street. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by parents or guardians. This is AU’s first trunk or treat event.
WestoBOO! Bash
Westobou is excited to present its inaugural Halloween bash. A haunted evening of drinks, hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment and spooky surprises are planned for the event which will be from 8 to 11 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Old Medical College. The theme is Haunted Mansion at the Old Medical College. Go all out and dress in costume or come dressed in black. With a purchase of a general ]admission ticket, Westobou members will be upgraded to VIP with free drinks. Limited tickets will be available for a unique meal experience before the party hosted by artist Stephanie Hardigree and chef Dalton Slantis from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $40-$80. Dugout Theater Presents: Hocus Pocus
Dugout Theater is back for 2021 featuring “Hocus Pocus.”
Guests can view the movie on the state-of-the-art videoboard while relaxing in the outfield of SRP Park or in the lower level seating bowl. Blankets and pillows are encouraged for seating on the field, but chairs will not be permitted. Kids are encouraged to dress up to trick or treat on the concourse prior to the movie from 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 29.

Dugout Theater movie experience ticket packages include general admission seating (Field & Seating Bowl) and is $5 per person. Children 3 and under are free. Augusta University Cinema Series
The Augusta University Cinema Series presents a haunted double feature beginning at 7 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Augusta University Performing Arts Theatre.
The series will spotlight on one of the indisputable masters of horror, director John Carpenter and show two of his 1980s cult classics. “The Thing” screens at 7 p.m. followed by “The Fog” at 9 p.m.
Admission is free to the cinema series thanks to the Student Life and Engagement and The Bee’s Knees and The Hive.

Augusta South Family Y Fall Festival
Come in your costumes and join the Y for a day of fun and candy. We will have our candy crawl, trunk or treat, games and more from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Augusta South Family Y, 2215 Tobacco Rd.
Wilson YMCA Annual Halloween Bash
The Wilson Family YMCA’s annual Halloween Bash will be for 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Wilson YMCA, 3570 Wheeler Rd. There will be plenty of treats. It will have trick-or-treating, bounce house, costume contest, a haunted house and much more. It’s open to the public.
Wellington Haunted Garage
Enjoy a free event opened to the public. Adventure a Haunted Garage while also enjoying a friendly neighborhood to trick or treat with family. Please invite as many friends and family you can think of! This event will last two days. Event starts at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 and at 6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31. The haunted garage will be located at 645 Kimberley Pl, Evans. Don’t forget your costumes.
Halloween at the Common
Halloween at the Augusta Common is back from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Bring your kids for Truck-A-Treat, inflatables, yard games, a costume parade and contest and a Halloween movie. There will have food, activities and a DJ.

Halloween at Rose Hill in Aiken
Rose Hill Estates has multiple Halloween events planned over the weekend of Oct. 29-31. A children’s Halloween party is from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 29. An adult Halloween party will be from 5 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday with a Haunted Speakeasy, a Halloween themed menu and music by Third Time Charmers featuring Mayor Rick Osbon. Adult Halloween Mario Karty
Bring your Nintendo switch and have the Mario Kart game to compete in an ultimate Mario Kart game. Ten slots are available for participants to sign-up to be a part of the tournament. Partipciants must be older than 18. If interested in watching the tournament, it will be available on live stream on the library’s Facebook and YouTube pages. Participants are invited to dress-up in their costumes and possibly win a prize. The event is limited. Warehouse of Horrors Halloween Party
One of the biggest Halloween Part in Augusta will be happening at the Edge Nightclub! Drink, dance and party the night away. Lots of money will be given out! Win $500 in cash for the best costume. Trick or Treat on Broad Street
It’s finally time for the second Support Downtown Augusta Trick or Treat on Broad Street. Dress up in your best Halloween costume and trick or treat from business to business between 9th-12th Street. Participating businesses, listed below, will be passing out candy to trick or treaters ages 12 and under. Stay for dinner or drinks downtown to make a night of it. This is a free event for the public but trick or treating is for children 12 and under. It will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 30. Adult Haunted Forest Party
For one day only, enjoy an evening out without the kids in our haunted forest. Your ticket includes an evening of dancing, retro horror films in the forest on a big screen, outdoor games, tarot readings and so much more. Ghostly Gathering
Get an opportunity to participate in a silent auction! The United Way of Aiken County’s Professional Division are holding an event hosted by Cody Anderson at the historic Constantine House. The gathering will benefit the United Way of Aiken County help fund the 45 Critical Need Programs. The event will have live music by Brooke Lundy, dancing, food, costume contests and more.
