Richmond County Sheriff’s Office in currently investigating a shooting at Country Hearth Inn on Gordon Highway.
Deputies said the shooting was reported at 9:53 a.m.
Upon their arrival, emergency responders discovered that a man had suffered one gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, according to deputies.
This is the second shooting in Augusta this week.
On Sept. 28, Corey Lamont Thomas, 37, was shot outside of Level 9 Sports Bar & Grille. He was transported to Augusta University Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
