Man wanted in connection with stabbing

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Francisco Govia in reference to an early morning stabbing.

At 12:02 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, deputies responded to an abandoned residence in the 700 block of Moore Avenue, where they found a male victim who had been stabbed multiple times. He was transported to Augusta University with serious injuries.

Govia was last seen fleeing on foot.

Investigators have secured warrants for aggravated assault for against Govia.

Govia is 5-foot-11-inches tall, 192 lbs., bald and has brown eyes.
