Augusta Technical College has announced Migdaliz Berrios as the new site director for the Columbia County Center in Grovetown.

Berrios has over 15 years of experience in higher education. As the newly appointed Director for the Augusta Technical College Grovetown location, she brings to the position a wealth of knowledge and a proven record of driving strategic growth and innovation.

Before joining Augusta Technical College, Berrios was an executive financial advisor at the University of Phoenix. Here she led successful initiatives in student services and veteran affairs. Under her leadership in the Military Service Center, Berrios spearheaded a significant digital transformation, which contributed to the college’s overall success.

Berrios is enthusiastic about fostering a culture of continuous improvement, community service and advocacy. She has been recognized with numerous awards and honors throughout her career and recently received the President’s Award for Innovation and Excellence 2023, the NISOD Excellence Award 2024 and the Paragon Award for New Advisors.

She has an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Berrios is a member of the Hispanic Cultural Association of CSRA, Hispanic Outreach and Leadership Association (HOLA), Advisor for Phi Theta Kappa, and an Advisor for the Student Veterans of America Chapter of Augusta Tech.

“Ms. Berrios is a valuable member of the student affairs team, and I am excited to see her bring her creativity and innovative ideas to our Grovetown site,” said Dr. Nichole Spencer, Vice President of Student Affairs.

Berrios said she is excited to work at the Grovetown site.

“As director of the Grovetown site, I am excited to lead Augusta Technical College into its next phase of growth, focusing on community engagement and growth in Columbia County,” said Berrios.
