A college chain with 11 campuses throughout the Southeast is moving the site of its Augusta location across town.
Currently located at 621 NW Frontage Road, the college is moving into the former site of the Kroger at 3128 Deans Bridge Rd.
“It’s going to look a lot different there very shortly,” said John Engler of McKnight Properties, the entity redeveloping the site. “They’re going to be bringing some technical trades in there that they couldn’t do at their current location.”
According to Engler, some of those potential programs are welding, automotive, electrical and HVAC schools.

The goal is to have the project completed and ready for Miller-Motte by Feb. 1, 2022.

Those familiar with the area will recognize that the new location is very close in proximity to a similar institution – Augusta Technical College.
“It’s going to be kind of a hub of technical training in Augusta, in my opinion,” said Engler. “I think Miller-Motte and Augusta Tech are going to complement each other. And it will be bring more development and supporting tenants to this area.”
Some of the programs available currently in Augusta are business administration, CDL training, early childhood education, healthcare information technology, IT support specialist, medical billing and coding and medical clinical assistant.
